Son un Cuento

The Musical Mermaid

The Musical Mermaid

Once, a little mermaid
Was sad under the sea.
She couldn’t find a single thing
That would make her sing.

All alone she seat
On her little coral reef.
But inspiration drifted
Away, under the sea.

“Dear Mister Crab,
If you could, teach me a very special song
One that I might try to sing along.
I’ll give you a pearl necklace
To wear around your claws.”

“Now tell me this my
Sweet Little Mermaid
Have you heard the sound of the waves?
When they play with the wind, and the rocks,
And the boats that at night quietly sail away”

“Dear Mister Shark,
If you don’t mind me asking,
Would you teach me a song that I can sing?
And make the wind bring music to the sea.
Then I’ll give you a giant bubble
so that you can play with me.”

“Now tell me this my Sweet Little Mermaid
Have you heard the wind at play?
With the sand and palm trees,
Or the wings of the little birds
When they fly back to their nests?”

“Dear Mister Snail,
Someone told me there is music in your home
And the ocean is its magic metronome.
If I come a little closer, will I hear music all around?”

“Listen to me, Little Miss Mermaid
Let me whisper in your ear,
In my home you’ll hear the wind blow,
The song of giant whales
And the soothing sound of waves,
That will make you sing once again.”
