El Jardín Secreto de la Reina
La Reina tenía un jardín escondido,
con cientos de rosas, y un laberinto.
Doty, un caracol curioso y astuto,
soñaba con descubrir el secreto oculto.
Un día encontró, brillando en la hiedra,
una llave plateada con alas de seda.
Abrió una puerta, cerrada y sellada…
¡y halló una rosa marchita, y cansada!
—No brillo —dijo—, ni mi tamaño es
ideal. Un conjuro me esconde, no soy especial.
—Pequeña rosa, tú tienes valor, no hace
falta ser grande y brillar, ni ser la mejor.
El gran secreto —Doty susurró— vive
en la fuerza de tu corazón.
La rosa tembló, sus pétalos abrió, un
brillo suave del centro brotó. Y ante los
ojos del buen caracol, la flor más
brillante del jardín surgió.
Por fin, el secreto de la Reina
quedó al descubierto,
y la rosa brilló…
por siempre en el tiempo.

The Queen’s Secret Garden
The Queen had a garden, quiet and sweet,
where roses would bloom and secrets would sleep.
Dotty the snail, so tiny, so shy,
dreamed of the secret the garden kept by.
One day he found, in ivy that twined,
a silver-winged key with a shimmer that shined.
He opened a gate, so heavy, so tall…
and found a small rose with no sparkle at all.
—“I cannot shine, I’m not like the rest,
a spell makes me hidden, not bright, not the best.”
But Dotty replied, so gentle, so true:
—“Your heart is enough, it shines bright in you.”
The rose gave a tremble, her petals open wide,
a soft glowing light was blooming inside.
It grew and it sparkled, a wonderful view—
the brightest of roses the garden ever grew!
At last, the Queen’s secret was brought to light
for the rose lived forever— shining for me and you.
